Dallas C.V. Richard
Dallas is currently a senior marketing manager with Deloitte, focused on the public sector marketplace. Dallas has extensive expertise developing strategies for corporate and public sector leaders to advance policy initiatives and promote key business interests.
Dallas holds a Master of Business Administration from Concordia University and Bachelor of Arts in Government from the University of Texas at Austin.
Dallas has been a member of the Austin Chapter of the American Marketing Association since 2009, and an active volunteer in the Ambassador and Healthcare SIG programs.
A native Austinite, Dallas enjoys exploring the Austin hill country on daytrips with his wife and two sons, whose innate love of baseball and soccer also keeps him busy as a volunteer with the Lake Travis Youth Association.
Kim is the founder of a consulting practice, where she specializes in telling brand/product stories that showcase her clients’ strategic objectives. Her unique talent is getting to the essence of a brand, and then crafting digital marketing, website, and content strategies around that point of view. Channeling her inner MacGyver, Kim helps clients manage all aspects of their inbound marketing effort from SEO to website CX to content development and social media (duct tape optional). While she works with clients in many different industries, her passion lies in the social impact space, helping nonprofit and for-profit organizations inspire meaningful change in their local communities.
Kim honed her marketing chops in various branding and creative roles over 20 years at companies such as Discovery Channel, Getty Images, and Bridgeman Images. An avid connector and community-builder, she splits her time between the AMA and CreativeMornings/Austin. Her love of animals makes her extremely proud to live in a no-kill city, and Kim volunteers with AustinPetsAlive writing dog bios. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Advertising from the University of Kansas and a Master’s in Art History from the University of Essex in the U.K.
Connie is the owner and president of Sir Speedy Printing and Marketing Services on Far West Boulevard in Austin. Sir Speedy is the largest franchised printing and marketing support company in the world. She has owned this location since 1993.
In addition to overseeing all aspects of the business, Connie places a special emphasis on sales, marketing and customer service.
Prior to opening Sir Speedy, Connie worked in marketing and administrative positions in healthcare organizations including the University of Nebraska Medical Center and St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. She holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration, Health Care from the University of Missouri, Kansas City and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Missouri Southern State University in Joplin.
A self-proclaimed data junkie, Chris is VP of Global Marketing for Emergo, an international medical device consulting firm. In his role, Chris manages a team tasked with generating leads worldwide, and has particular expertise in organic SEM, content marketing, branding/UX, email, marketing automation, data analysis and strategy.
During his 24 year career, Chris has worked on both sides of the fence. He started out as an agency copywriter, and subsequently honed his marketing (and political) skills working for a global insurance company. He made a final foray into the agency world after moving to Austin in 2002, before leaving to start his own ceramics importing business. He sold that business in 2004.
When he’s not generating leads and crunching numbers, Chris enjoys international travel and has visited 33 countries so far. He holds a BA in Advertising from Michigan State University.
Kristin Fern Johnson
Kristin currently develops thought-leadership marketing content as a senior writing consultant for the Institute of Business Value at IBM. She is passionate about continuously deepening her skills in all areas of marketing, especially in content marketing. Previously, Kristin developed digital marketing content for Dell, and executive, internal and marketing communications for UT Austin and IBM Software Group. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Radio-Television-Film from UT Austin.
Favorite volunteer experiences include serving on the Austin AMA board as secretary two years ago, driving for Meals on Wheels and More, and serving on the board of a local theater company. Outside of marketing, Kristin enjoys performing in local theater, going to see films of (almost) every genre and exploring the many hiking trails in and around Austin.
Leveraging more than 15 years of extensive public relations and media strategy experience, Ray develops and manages clients’ national public image campaigns as president of Razor Sharp PR, a company he launched in 2011. His experience spans numerous business sectors, with a specific focus in finance, real estate, legal, healthcare, travel and technology.
Specifically, he’s coordinated myriad media campaigns during high-profile PR moments, including public company merger and acquisition announcements, public company earnings, U.S. Supreme Court arguments and decisions, and multiple California gubernatorial campaign events with former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani and then President George W. Bush.
Ray previously served as the Sacramento AMA’s president before relocating to Austin in 2013.
Stephanie is currently a partner relations specialist at the Austin Convention & Visitors Bureau, the City of Austin’s official destination marketing arm responsible for attracting leisure and business travelers to the city. At the Austin CVB, Stephanie oversees partnership fulfillment, asset valuation, and event sponsorships.
With over 15 years of comprehensive client relations and strategic project management experience, Stephanie’s professional career has spanned across the real estate, higher education administration, and non-profit industries.
Stephanie earned a Bachelor of Science of Public Relations at The University of Texas at Austin. She likes to spend her free time traveling, reading non-fiction works, and exploring new local restaurants.
AJ West has 20 years of marketing and advertising experience directly related to the architectural, construction, civil engineering, aviation, education, and hospitality industries. She has a special focus on areas of brand management, corporate communications, public relations, and technical and editorial writing for a variety of projects and corporate initiatives. Her experience has allowed her to lead highly-effective, integrated, award-winning marketing campaigns that produce revenue and profitability.
