Karla is a cross-cultural specialist who has worked in Total Market, Hispanic and Multicultural marketing developing in-culture brand engagement for Fortune 500 Companies, Government, and Non-Profits. She is a bilingual/bicultural marketing strategist with over 20 years of experience.
Karla has specific expertise in launching new products, propelling existing brands into new markets, and revitalizing lagging brands with category experience in healthcare, cause marketing, higher education, energy/telecom, grocery/packaged goods and financial services. Some of the brands she has worked with include UnitedHealthcare, Wells Fargo, Jack Daniel’s, P&G, M&M/Mars, H&R Block, McCormick & Company, Bank of America, T-Mobile, and Clairol. She has provided many marketing industry presentations including Hispanicize; Houston AMA; Dallas AMA; Texas Career Colleges Convention; IQPC’s Multicultural Conference; The Food & Beverage Institute; The National Bar and Restaurant Association; The Food Marketing Institute and many more. She is a multicultural training expert with guest lecture appearances at The University of Texas at San Antonio, The University of Texas at Austin, and Texas State University.
Karla has published numerous marketing articles on Millennials and Gen Z. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Advertising from the University of Texas summa cum laude.
