Dan has been working in advertising and marketing in the Austin area for almost 9 years. He has a passion for helping companies grow and maintain success – from strategic brand building to creative projects that get results. Outside of the office, he can be found hanging with his wife and dog, playing music or eating at one of the endless new restaurants Austin has to offer.
Ashley Edwards is a marketing professional who specializes in events. She has been in the industry for about eight years. Ashley has a strong passion for marketing that started during college internships in Silicon Valley and continues to grow with her recent move to the Austin.
Having grown up in California’s iconic Bay Area, Melody is a long way from home. She attended The University of Texas at Austin and graduated in 2014 with a B.S. in Corporate Communication. Today, Melody uses the skills she’s obtained throughout her experience to build dashboards and reports for clients at TrendKite as an Account Architect.
Although Melody’s background is in public relations, she was drawn to marketing for several reasons and is thrilled to be able to participate in the wonderful support structure inherent in Austin AMA.
As the chair of collegiate relations, Melody is working on a mentorship program that will be rolling out this upcoming fall, and looks forward to providing support to members of the local AMA student chapters. In addition to helping aspiring and seasoned marketers form meaningful connections, Melody manages the Austin AMA social media accounts.
When Melody isn’t posting about Austin AMA or making PR efforts measurable through her role at TrendKite, she can be found posing her 9 year-old rescue pug for Instagram shots whenever possible.
An avid supporter of local small businesses, Melody also loves to scour the city for wearable trinkets unique to Austin. She is currently training for her first Tough Mudder race that will take place in Dallas this October.
Jetaya is the Director of Events for the Austin AMA, and the upcoming VP of Programming for 2016-2017.
Melissa Love brings more than 20 years of pedaltothe floor marketing and advertising experience with a proven ability to grow, innovate and enhance organizational efficiency. She’s worked with companies nationwide, from snack food manufactures, and casino resorts to secondary education institutions and an internationally marketed engine manufacturer.
Her career has taken her from Fort Wayne, Indiana to Las Vegas and back again, but after moving to Austin almost six years ago, she’s proclaimed it her foreverhome.
In addition to helping on the AMA’s sponsorship committee she also volunteers for the Austin Ad Club. Melissa holds a bachelor of journalism from Ball State University (David Letterman’s alma mater) and when she’s not working, you’ll find her shopping at At Home or spending time with her husband, her son and her
two beloved dogs.
Kathryn's marketing career was never planned; it formed organically out of an intense interest in the form and function of communication and people's responses, reactions, or even indifference.
Kathryn has well-rounded practical and theoretical marketing experience that is a result of working in small business, corporate, and state/university settings and through consultant work. She finds that marketing is a self-contained discipline that operates independently of a particular industry but, when utilized properly, ensures a comprehensive understanding that enhances the experience of both marketer and recipient. Mobile marketing isn't just a technical approach for devices - it's a mental philosophy.
Kathryn lives in the Austin area on a ranch with her family and two dogs, a cat, a rooster, a turkey, some cows, and a menagerie of other Texas wildlife visitors.
Robynne is a designer, maker and marketer from San Antonio. She moved to Austin in May of 2015 and quickly fell in love with her new home. She is currently working towards launching her first solo line of custom stationery and paper goods, called Del Litho. Named for her family's 40-year printing business in Oklahoma City, this new venture focuses on friendly designs for lovers of life.

Anita’s childhood passion for solving math problems translated into her passion for solving business problems for clients today. With an undergraduate degree in Statistics and an M.B.A in Marketing, she is always looking for the next challenge in her work. Having worked for companies like Unilever, Nielsen, and Turner Sports, Anita has managed to build a strong marketing foundation across geographical borders. She moved to the United States from India five years ago and has since lived in Michigan, Georgia, and most recently, Texas. Today, she uses her skills to solve digital problems for her clients at Springbox as a Digital Strategist.
She is also a Board Member of a local non-profit organization called Power for Parkinson’s where they offer free fitness classes for people affected by the disease. In her spare time, you can find her playing one of the following - kickball, badminton, ping pong, or engaging in mini-DIY projects where she dabbles with jewelry-making, zentagle-doodling, knitting, crocheting, and canvas painting. After having moved to Austin less than a year ago, Anita looked to AMA for connecting with smart marketing minds, locally. Today, she manages AMA Austin’s social media accounts and has built lasting friendships through the Chapter. Anita is looking forward to venturing into other digital avenues within AMA in 2016.
Like you, marketing and business development specialist Katherine Teel has seen an ever changing marketplace for healthcare. With 20 years of marketing and business development experience, plus a few life lessons in the trenches, her view is unique for today’s healthcare marketing challenges. Katherine appreciates the balance of listening, vision and partnership with those whom she works with and believes everyone has something to offer through their own experiences.
Katherine is sometimes referred to as strategically active, taking ideas and moving them into actionable items to achieve success but is able to pivot/adjust to maximize efforts that are working. Most recently, she has worked with Health Care Practice Partners and developed crēscō Network, a physician referral program. She is eager to help grow practices’ new patient base through physician relationships and has implemented her program with surgical and cardiology specialties.
In addition to serving as a volunteer with the Austin AMA’s Healthcare SIG, she also supports Fostering Futures for foster children. She received her Bachelor’s degree at Texas Tech University in Advertising/Public Relations with marketing as a minor. She has also had the opportunity to spend a summer session at Oxford University through a UT summer program in which she studied Transcontinental Literature at Brasenose College.
Jane Kovacs is a geek-loving, button-pushing PR flack who loves shiny, new ideas. She brings more than 20 years’ experience to her role as manager of public relations for 3M’s Electronics and Energy Business, a $5.5 billion business headquartered in Austin, Texas. Jane joined 3M in March 2008. She currently manages product PR for the Electronics and Energy Business Group in addition to leading local media outreach.
Her background includes roles at Pennzoil, EDS, AMD, FleishmanHillard and now 3M. She has led worldwide PR efforts for product launches as well as internal programs. She has worked with tech clients (from AT&T to UPS), to tell their stories to the media, industry analysts and employees.
Jane holds both bachelor of journalism and master of communication degrees from The University of Texas at Austin. As a graduate student at UT, she was named Outstanding Graduate Student Teacher of the Year and received the Texas Excellence Teaching Award.
When she’s not working, she goofs off with HOTY (husband of the year), their two teenagers, a bulldog named Mookie and one damn cat. She eats grits, she says y’all, she’s proud that Texas is bigger than most countries and she has naturally big Texas hair.
Michael Bogart is a current resident of 'the Live Music Capital of the World.' Michael discovered his love of music while growing up in Cleveland, 'The Rock and Roll Capital of the World,' and further explored this interest while a student at Ohio State University. His passion for all things guitar and music quickly led to an ongoing fascination with how customer experience influences buying decisions.
As a representative for social software platform Sprinklr, he helps B2B and B2C brands in the south Texas region evaluate their CX strategy.
With a passion for writing, Bana focuses on content strategy—from editorial direction to measuring/reporting content performance and analytics. As communications manager for Dallas-based Marketwave, she represents the agency’s Austin presence.
As a Texas Ex, (Bachelor of Journalism ‘09), she was thrilled to return to the ATX when she, her husband, and their two dogs moved here from Dallas in June 2014.
She serves on AMA Austin’s technology committee as blog manager. In her spare time, she’s writing blog posts for Leander-based Texas Humane Heroes, where she also volunteers as dog walker. On weekends, she’s either at a UT football game, hiking the Hill Country or playing board games at a craft brewery.
Jamie brings over 18 years of business experience in industries including technology, public transportation sector, automotive and golf. Jamie is currently a Senior Account Manager with Epsilon where she manages North America consumer emails for Dell. Prior to joining Epsilon, Jamie was Director of Email Marketing for Golfsmith International where she managed and directed a team of email specialists and web designers, focused on strategic, innovative, and effective campaigns to drive consumers to online and in-store promotions.
Jamie received her BBA in Business Management from the University of Houston – Downtown in 2003, and MBA from St. Edward’s University in 2007. She joined Austin AMA in the Fall of 2014 and started volunteering on the communications team in April 2015.
Although she rarely has spare time, Jamie enjoys spending time with her family, running and scheduling play dates for her son. She is currently training for the Dopey Challenge 2016 that will take place in Orlando, FL on the grounds of Disney Land. She will run a 5K, 10K, half-marathon and a full marathon in 4 days!
Melissa describes herself as a relationship builder. At Holtzman Partners, she is responsible for communicating what the firm is all about and who its team members are through the Web, social media, proposals, emails, events and internal communications. She also collaborates with clients, team members and alumni to improve programs and messaging.
Melissa is clever at taking a technical subject or project and translating it into layman’s terms, which is extremely helpful when writing content, expressing an idea or training people. What she enjoys most about her job is finding solutions to communication problems.
A self-proclaimed data nerd, Katharine Rovinsky works in market research, supporting clients in technology, finance and energy for Nielsen. Originally from northeastern Pennsylvania, Katharine and her husband moved to Austin after stints in Orlando and Chicago. Having studied urban planning, she takes an unusually keen interest in the transportation, politics and tourism of every place she visits. Here in Austin, she enjoys bar trivia, swimming, hiking and outdoor events.
As director of volunteer engagement, Katharine helps connect members to our committees. She’s eager to hear from members who are looking to get involved and grow their local network.
A citizen of both Poland and the United States, Natalia has spent her life growing up between the cultures of Europe and America, becoming accustomed to constant change and challenge. After graduating from the University of Louisville with a B.A. in Cultural Anthropology, Natalia joined Influence Results in Denver as a Marketing Associate. Today, she is continuing to tackle the great variety of projects that come with working for a young start-up, including content creation, web design, client acquisition, social media management, marketing strategy, and data analysis.
In her free time, Natalia is an avid runner and beer enthusiast. A recent transfer, she is already heavily involved in local events and meetups, such as Austin Cabaret Associates, Women Who Code, Nerd Nite, and, every Wednesday, you will find her in her element at Austin Beer Run Club.
