Six years ago, a professional colleague who I greatly respected asked me to join the Communications Committee for the Austin chapter of the American Marketing Association. Within weeks, this colleague and I were working closely together, and I was able to see first-hand how she maneuvered through challenging situations and successfully contributed towards reaching our marketing association goals.
Since then, I’ve had the pleasure of working with many amazing marketing, communications and technology leaders. They’ve contributed a lot to the marketing community and helped me grow tremendously, too. The American Marketing Association is always looking for smart, dedicated marketing professionals to add as members and volunteers. We’re looking to bring top-notch education to members and great networking opportunities to support the marketing profession as a whole.
Are you an AMA member? Through the end of May, AMA is holding a membership drive that includes special incentives of up to $50 in savings — allowing new members to join now for $230. With your membership, you’ll have access to local programs in addition to the wide assortment of webcasts, white papers and best practices available via MarketingPower.com.
For more information on joining or volunteering for AMA, visit www.austinama.org/membership or contact our fabulous VP of Membership Recruitment, Matt Lemke, at membership@ascendmarketingtesting.site.
