What have cattle ranching and advertising got in common?

Nothing. It’s not what they have in common, it’s who they have in common.

MP Mueller,  President of Austin advertising agency Door Number 3, found out through an aptitude test she’d be good at cattle ranching or advertising.

She chose advertising, thank God for us.

And after 15 years of tireless work turning Door Number 3 into an $8 million company, she actually owns a ranch. Surprised?

Surprise is what MP Mueller and Door Number 3 are all about

MP and her staff at Door Number 3, like any good advertising and branding agency, diligently uncover what is unique about a client’s offering to reveal that unique brand quality.

They also believe that brains beat brawn, preferring to “outthink, not outspend,” as they state in their 3 Pillars.

But what’s the 3rd pillar? Mystery and surprise.

Everyone asks us what’s behind Door Number 3. It’s the element of mystery and surprise. The unexpected gets talked about. And getting talked about is the first step towards creating movements. We give our clients what they ask for, and more importantly, what they didn’t think to ask for.

What other surprises does MP have in store for us?

Well for one thing, she writes for the New York Times

MP writes for her new blog Branded on the New York Times website. She is read by millions of discriminating readers in one of the most widely read publications in the world.

Not bad for the President of a boutique advertising agency in little-old Austin, TX,

She was also a stand-up comedian

MP honed her comedic skills for two years doing stand-up, one of the hardest and most thankless gigs in show business. And she did it successfully for two years.

So if I were you I’d sign up for this upcoming AMA 1:1, facilitated by MP Mueller. Not only will you learn about branding, and that surprising element that causes people to talk about your brand….but she might say something really funny.

To sign up for the 1:1 with MP Mueller
