This year, the 2015 AMA National Conference: Inspired Marketing (Sept. 27-29) is right in our backyard, so you won’t want to miss it! And even better—locals can register at a deeply discounted rate: if you are a current Austin AMA member or represent a local Austin area business, call the AMA Support Center to register at 1.800.262.1160 and mention the discount code “EVENT”. You will receive a registration rate of $950, $250 off the member early bird rate! Plus, those who register before Sept. 1 can get that discount on top of the early bird rate.

To help get you even more excited about this fantastic event, here are 7 reasons you’ll want to register right away:

1. Guy Kawasaki.

Among the impressive list of speakers is none other than Guy Kawasaki. A prolific author and evangelist, Kawasaki’s work at Apple in the Macintosh Division in the early 1980s helped to popularize the phenomenon of brand evangelism. Kawasaki speaks about a variety of topics ranging from social media to entrepreneurship. His keynote presentation, “The Art of Innovation,” will be on Monday, September 28 at 9:15 am. Watch a sneak peek.

2. More than 30 sessions across four tracks.

The conference is packed with information and insights, with over 30 presentations and sessions covering four main tracks: Insights and Innovation, Next Practices, From Chaos to Clarity, and Beyond Content. Whether you are a data-driven marketer or focused on building engagement through content, or just wanting to get a leg up on best practices in a wide range of tactical areas, you will come away from the conference with inspiration, insights and ideas for going forward. Check out the full 2015 AMA National Conference agenda.

3. You’ll get hands-on learning, too.

Want to hone your skills in tutorial-style sessions? Take a deeper dive into storytelling, voice and visual content the day before the conference. These small, hands-on sessions are the perfect way to get your head back in the game.

4. You need a break from your 9-to-5.

It’s hard to get a larger perspective when we’re working hard at our day jobs. Outside of taking a long vacation, a few days outside of the office amongst fellow mid-career marketers might just be the antidote. You’ll come away informed, inspired and refreshed. Which leads us to…

5. This conference will help you do your job better.

What’s better than hearing from marketing superstars such as JP Kuehlwein, co-author of Rethinking Prestige Branding – Secrets of the Ueber-Brands, and Mike Mickunas, VP, Global Insights at Kellogg, and Guy Kawasaki? Having your company pay for you to attend. You’ll be able to come back and share insights and the knowledge you gained, in order to help deliver results for your team and larger organization.

6. Did we mention it’s in Austin?

That’s right, AMA’s National Conference is going to be held in our weird and wonderful city. Attending won’t require undressing for airport security or cramming yourself into cramped airline seats, but it might require a strategic plan for finding parking in downtown Austin. Get rid of any remaining travel stress by racking up your Uber and Lyft rider-cred and ditch the parking stress altogether.

7. If you’re from Austin, you get $250 off.

Whether you’re an AMA member or not, Austin-area marketers are eligible for a $250 discount. If you register before September 1, 2015, you’ll even get that discount on top of the early-bird rate! To find out more about the AMA National Conference and how to get the discount, click below.
