Remember why you got into marketing in the first place?

Perhaps it was the thrill of a big idea or the challenge of your first creative campaign. Sometimes, the daily grind can make you forget that feeling, but actively engaging in your inspiration is what makes you great.

That's exactly what we set out to change with Conversion House, a micro-gathering for senior marketing leaders. Co-hosted by AMA Austin and Marketverse (by SINC), the event was designed to be a creative reset, a chance to reconnect with the chaotic, unhinged side of marketing in a controlled environment.

If you missed it, you missed out.

The View from the Top

Our goal was to bring together a rare peer room of higher caliber professionals who had been through the climb and understand the intricacies of wading through our modern world’s marketing environment.

The setting was the 55th floor of The Austonian Club. While the panoramic view was incredible, it paled in comparison to the electric energy of the room. We brought together 30 of Austin's sharpest marketing minds for an evening of candid conversation, strategic insights, and plenty of laughs.

Using Comedy to Unleash Creativity

The main event was a pitch competition with a wonderfully twisted theme: “AI Pitfalls.” Attendees split into small groups and were tasked with coming up with the worst possible AI business idea. The result? Pure, comedic genius.

Judges Aaron Rayner of AMA and Ido Mart of Manychat listened to pitches that were as absurd as they were brilliant. The winning idea, a DraftKings for relationships, was a masterclass in creative chaos. It was a great example of what happens when talent puts aside KPIs for a minute and plays with creative boundaries.

What Happens When You Get Real?

Beyond the competition, the conversations were a highlight. Leaders shared real-time insights on navigating today's marketing pressures, from AI to GTM strategy. Attendees left with at least one new idea to test, framework to apply, and renewed sense of purpose. We challenged them to leave with at least two new peers and one test to run on Monday morning; by those metrics, we achieved a resounding success.

If you weren't there, it’s okay. You can check out some behind-the-scenes highlights on our Instagram channel. And we have lots more in store!
