Coat Drive: This event is part of our coat drive initiative. We kindly encourage attendees to bring a coat to donate. All coats will be given to Coats for Kids, helping spread warmth and joy to those in need this winter season.

Whether you're a seasoned member or new to the organization, everyone is welcome to attend our annual member mixer. What should I wear to the event?

For our Winter Mixer at Dave & Buster's, we encourage business casual attire. Please dress comfortably yet professionally, as this is a networking event where you'll have the opportunity to connect with industry peers. We want everyone to feel confident and ready for both conversation and a bit of fun in a relaxed, vibrant atmosphere.

I want to participate in the Coat Drive, but I can’t attend the event. Can I still participate?

Absolutely! We appreciate your charitable spirit. If you can't make it to the event, you can still make a difference by purchasing a coat online. Click on the link provided to contribute and impact someone's life. Thank you for your generosity, even from afar!

What's the parking situation like?

There is plenty of parking available in the Dave & Buster's parking lot, so you can arrive stress-free knowing there’s a spot waiting for you. Whether you arrive early or closer to the event, you’ll have convenient access to parking right on-site.

Do I need to register? Can I register on-site?

Absolutely! We kindly request that you register in advance through our website. This helps us ensure a smooth event by having an accurate headcount. If life gets busy and you can't register beforehand, don't fret! On-site registration is available through our trusty webpage. Flexibility is key, y'all!

Can I bring a plus one?

The more, the merrier! Feel free to bring along a colleague or two. Just make sure they also register in advance to receive a warm Texas welcome. We don't want anyone to miss out on the fun, so encourage them to sign up ahead of time and let's get this party started!

Do I need to be an active AMA member to attend?

Not at all! This event is open to everyone, whether they're an AMA member or not. We're advocates for inclusivity here in Austin. While there is a small $20 fee for non-AMA members, it's complimentary for those who hold AMA membership. So, come one, come all, and let's enjoy a memorable time together!

What's on the menu?

Enjoy a selection of beer and wine from Dave & Buster’s while mingling with fellow attendees. We’ll also be serving a variety of delicious appetizers throughout the event to keep you fueled and satisfied as you network and socialize. Whether you prefer a crisp glass of wine or a cold beer, there will be plenty of options to suit your taste.

I’m a member and attending for free, but I want to make a small contribution. What is the best way to do that?

Absolutely! During registration, you can select the option to donate to AMA Austin. All proceeds help us host this event.

Coats for Kids

The Junior League of Austin (JLA) collects coats year round at the Junior League of Austin’s Community Impact Center. Coats for Kids is centered around the League’s principles of compassion, community, and positive change.

Together with our long-standing partners—Jack Brown Cleaners, iHeartRadio, and KVUE, The Junior League of Austin will provide over 30,000 warm winter coats to Central Texas children in need.Since its beginning 38 years ago, CFK has collected and distributed 1,035,135 coats.

One coat can

...make a difference to a child. All children deserve to have dignity. A coat provides more than warmth. A gently used or new coat can show that the community cares about you and wants you to succeed.
...resonate over time and over generations. We have families who benefitted from receiving a coat who are giving back as donors and volunteers. We have League members who were once a part of this program and who are now creating change through the community.
