Do I need to register?

Yes please, we kindly request that you register in advance through our website. This helps us ensure a smooth event by having an accurate headcount.

Do I need to be an active AMA member to attend?

Not at all! This event is open to everyone, whether they're an AMA member or not. We're advocates for inclusivity here in Austin. While there is a $30 fee for non-AMA members, it's complimentary for those who hold AMA membership. So, come one, come all, and let's enjoy a memorable time together!

I’m a member, how do I register? Can I bring a plus one?

As a member, please RSVP through the members-only link sent via email. Didn’t receive the email? Send us a message at events@austinama.org—we’ll verify your membership and email, and get you registered.

Feel free to bring along a colleague or two, the more, the merrier! Encourage your plus one to register in advance via this page to receive a warm Texas welcome. We don't want anyone to miss out on the fun, so encourage them to sign up ahead of time and let's get this party started!

What should I wear to the event?

For this outdoor event, we recommend light, breezy layers, like a linen or light cotton shirt, pants, skirt, or summer dress. The boat has an exterior upper deck, and an interior air-conditioned room to keep us cool. When it comes to footwear, sensible, flat, close-toe shoes are recommended for stability and traction. Leave the fancy shoes at home and opt for something comfortable yet stylish.

Where do we meet?

Look for the AMA Austin banner at the Capital Cruises boat dock at the Hyatt Regency Hotel. The Hyatt is located at 208 Barton Springs Road at the intersection of Congress and Barton Springs on the south side of Town Lake. Click here for Map and Directions.

What is the parking situation like?

We recommend ridesharing or arrive a little earlier to secure a spot in the parking lot. The Hyatt Regency’s multi-level garage is the closest and easiest place to park. Parking starts at $25.00 for up to three hours (subject to additional charges past that time) but may vary depending on days of the week with higher traffic or during special events. Guests may drop off passengers at the front door of the hotel, but parking there is limited to five minutes. Other parking in the area varies greatly in price and availability. All parking is run independently of Capital Cruises.
