Welcome to the AMA Austin Chapter's monthly email newsletter. Each newsletter will tell you about upcoming events, how to get involved, and recent marketing articles.

Dear AMA Austin Members,

The local AMA chapters thrive on the tireless efforts, commitment, and support of our volunteers. Their countless hours of selfless work come without any expectation of compensation or rewards, and for this, we are profoundly grateful. Similarly, the vitality of our AMA Chapter hinges on the generosity and backing of our sponsors.

Our sponsors contribute significantly through financial support, enabling us to cover various expenses such as venue rentals for meetings, refreshments for our coffee mornings, and the costs associated with our IT infrastructure and administration. Some sponsors also provide in-kind donations, like complimentary venues and drinks at events. In exchange, we ensure their products and services receive ample promotion. We highlight our sponsors in all our communications, dedicate events to them, and mention them frequently across our platforms, doing everything in our power to increase their visibility among our members and subscribers.

We are currently seeking assistance to fund our IT services. Our transition to HubSpot last year marked a significant improvement, enhancing our communication with members, managing events and bookings more efficiently, and supporting our campaigns to expand and retain our membership. We are eager to continue using HubSpot but require the support of one or more generous companies to cover our licensing fees. In return, we will offer several benefits to our sponsor(s) and their companies. A special acknowledgment goes to Fast Friends Beer Company, a sponsor that has exceeded our expectations. Our recent Member Mixer, held at Fast Friends and in collaboration with four other associations, was not only a tremendous success in terms of attendance but was also made possible by the generosity of Fast Friends Beer Company. They provided the venue and all drinks free of charge. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Amye Hartfield from Fast Friends for ensuring that both we and all our guests were well taken care of. After hosting our coffee morning there, we are excited about future collaborations for events in South Austin.

Volunteer call: Volunteer Experience

We’re actively seeking someone to support our team of volunteers by joining our Volunteer Experience Committee. This person would contribute to our volunteer appreciation and recognition initiatives. Tasks could include things such as building social campaigns, putting together volunteer bios for our website and newsletter, sending appreciation notes and gifts, and coordinating awards, just to name a few!
