Marketing Minute Monthly Newsletter
Welcome to the AMA Austin Chapter's monthly email newsletter. Each newsletter will tell you about upcoming events, how to get involved, and recent marketing articles.
Dear AMA Austin Members,
As we wrap up 2023, I am thrilled to reflect on the remarkable journey we've had together as part of the AMA Austin community. It's been a year of growth, challenges, and significant achievements, and I'm proud to share some highlights with you in this newsletter.
First and foremost, I'm delighted to report that we've successfully achieved many of the goals we set at the beginning of the year. Our financial reserves are on target, ensuring the sustainability of our operations. We implemented a new CRM system, streamlining our processes and enhancing member experiences. Our membership base has grown, a testament to the value we bring to marketing professionals in Austin.
Our event programming reached new heights, offering more engaging and informative experiences than ever before. From thought-provoking panel discussions to skill-enhancing workshops, we've strived to deliver events that resonate with our diverse membership. Our regular communication items have kept you informed about our activities and industry insights.
Behind these achievements stands a dedicated team of volunteers and leaders who have worked tirelessly to advance our chapter. It's with great pleasure that I announce Marissa Mendez's promotion to President-Elect. Marissa, our current VP of Event Programming, has been instrumental in shaping our events and programming over the past two years. Her commitment, professionalism, and ability to build strong teams make her the ideal choice to lead us into the future.
With Marissa's transition, Cole Finley will step into the role of VP of Event Programming. Cole's journey from the AMA Collegiate Chapter to this leadership position is a testament to his dedication and growth within our organization.
We're also thrilled to welcome Dawn Pepka as VP of Strategic Partnerships. Dawn has already made a significant impact in strengthening our partnership program, a vital aspect of our chapter's success.
As we look ahead to 2024, we have an exciting lineup of events planned. In January, we'll kick off the year with a Member Mixer on January 18 and a virtual event covering Generative AI on January 25. Be sure to check our events page for all the details.
In the spirit of the season, I would like to extend warm wishes to you and your loved ones for a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and a Joyous New Year! It's a time to cherish the moments spent with family and friends, and I hope you find the time to relax and rejuvenate.
I look forward to reconnecting with you at our upcoming Marketing Morning coffee meetup on Wednesday, December 20, at Easy Tiger South. Let's come together to celebrate our achievements and embrace the possibilities that 2024 holds.
Wishing you all the best,
Francois Marais

Evisio makes it easy to do more SEO with less, so you can save time, make more money, and get better SEO results.
Evisio takes the guesswork – and the grunt work – out of SEO by telling you exactly what to do to improve your rankings and then breaking those recommendations into tasks that you can manage and assign to your team right inside of evisio. By bringing all parts of the SEO process together in one powerful tool, evisio simplifies and streamlines SEO, helping you climb higher in your rankings and scale your SEO business.
Evisio brings all parts of the SEO process together and does it with incredible transparency, so you know exactly what’s going on with your SEO at all times. It guides you through a step-by-step process for improving your rankings, breaks strategies into actual tasks and action items, and allows you to manage your entire team – no matter where they work – in one streamlined system.
Whether you’re an agency wanting to scale your business and bring SEO in-house, a marketer or business owner who wants to try your hand at SEO, or an SEO consultant ready to streamline your process so you can get better results and happier clients, evisio was built for you.
I invite you to give evisio a try and get simpler, easier, optimized SEO today. It’s transformed my business, and I know it can transform yours.
Hear from Michael himself and his take on building Evisio.co
“As an SEO consultant, I understand the frustration of managing SEO campaigns. It was always important to me that my clients saw real benefits from the time and money they invested in SEO, but I saw so many gaps and inefficiencies in the SEO process. Shifting priorities, ever-changing algorithms, and managing multiple team members – most of whom didn’t work for me directly – made it difficult to turn strategy into actual work that got results.
And when clients would ask me questions about what was going on with their project or the results they were getting, I was left staring into the same black hole, with no way to track who was working on what or the impact their work was having.
I knew there had to be a better way to do SEO — a way that was easier for SEOs and their teams but also for agencies, marketers, and small business owners who wanted to be able to do SEO in-house or on their own…or at least know what the heck was going on with their SEO when they hired a consultant. That’s why I created evisio.”
